Error
(like how useful is this????!)

This one is currently the bane of my life! Every 5th or so message I type will generate this error.. very frustrating when you've just finished writing a big speel and have to start all over again! Here's a tip though.. even though the error has occured what you have just typed will still be showing in your IM window.. to saving yourself having to retype it all over again simply cut and paste it back into the text box and hit send ;-)

This error originates from Steve-e's friend Lynn... personally I think the woman has pure caffeine in her blood stream as it took me ages to recreate it... Steve-e is still a very patient man! so a huge thanks to him and his dear friend Lynn :-) If I lived closer I'd shout you both a Millers Light and a bagel... you guys can bring the chocolate peanut things though ;-)

So this much is too much...

Yep it's true.. you really can have too much of a good thing! Steves sitting there doing the technicoloured thing in an IM window "Copy and paste this back into an IM" says he, so I do.. and woohoo there it is...error message number 4!


Oh so Yahoo!
Yahoo Messenger = Invalid Login

If you haven't seen this one before then you haven't Yahoo'd enough.. your time will come ;-) This wee error message generates the most email in the door.. there's no quick and certain fix for it either..

...and by that I mean this wee puppy was what lead to the changes we made to our IM support.

and in the midst of it all tried to send me a file... woohoo error message number 7! I get this quite a bit when Andrew sends me stuff... but for the life of me I can't remember why.. and right now he still in the midst of his own wee "connection from hell" :-)
UPDATE: two days later Andrew has recovered nicely from his bad day.. it didn't take him two days to get over it.. just took me two days to align our time zones ;-) anyway the reason for the above message is, and I quote... "and the reason file transfers are a little sketchy is because I'm on a LAN"... thanks Andrew, loud and clear just like a blender ;-)

Most ppl have an invalid token.. but not Andrew.. he likes to stand out in a crowd ;-) just what it was that Yahoo Messenger caught Andrew 'toking' on I have no idea and he's yet to confess... I'll continue to bribe him with Oreos and keep you posted.


Hmm.. I suspect old age has set in.. when you can't remember the correct names of your friends you're in trouble.. perhaps too much sugar.. I'll lay off bribing with the Oreos for a while :-)


Andrew picked up a new friend.. has no idea who it is though and with a name like that you'd think he'd remember! I suspect it's a floosie of his but he denies ever having met the person... back to bribing with Oreos...


nothing worse than when it lets you send a file.. takes you all the way to 100% then tells you that you can't do it... when you consider Andrew has spent the last week tokering, having far too much sugar and is prone to forget his friends I'm wonder if the problem is in fact Yahoo Messenger ;-)

major blow out.. straight passed the BSOD to the Black!

This one turned out to be a 3 finger salute out of the mess and I have no idea what is was saying to me.. I suspect it was something like "whoops! Yahoo Messenger has caused a slight error but we'd be happy to compensate you financially..."

..sometimes it's just not possible to ignore yourself ;-)


Logged onto to clear the mail early Sunday morning to be warmly greeted by a message from Stef (aka MyAngelGrrr aka friendotv)

"...if you're in a conference on Yahoo! Messenger, and you click on your own name and press 'Ignore', you get an error message saying: You cannot ignore yourself.

LOL!!! I thought this was pretty funny! :P Don't ask me what I was doing when I found out about the error message!! hehe ;) ..."

I read it twice had another coffee ;-) tried it out and sure enough the screenshot above is living proof! LOL! Stef one day you can fess up with what you were doing at the time ;-)
