Send the Same Message...
(you'll be happy to know this is still the same)
... to all your friends at the same time. Sorta like SPAMming your friends but
in a nice way ;-) You want to let all your friends know something and the online
status message just isn't going to cut it and the idea of typing the same message
out 15+ times seems like insanity.. save yourself the brain power and do the
following.
Hold the ctrl key down
left click the names of you friends that you want
to send the message to
release the ctrl key (all the names should be highlighted
blue)
now right click one of the names
select Send a Message

type your message
hit send
ta da!

Buzzing a Friend...

Ok you little buzzing fiends you'll be thrilled to know that BUZZING lives in
this version too.. but this time round Yahoo has added a twist to the BUZZ so
check out [IMVironment]
for more info.
Here's how to do the std BUZZ!!!
with the message window to them open
Hit Ctrl+G on your keyboard
This will make their message window vibrate
generating a 'ding' sound
And a bright red BUZZ!!! will appear in the
message window
Now if that doesn't get their attention nothing will!
Note: you can only do this every 13 seconds

Stop the BUZZING!
As mentioned above BUZZ!!! is a very useful
wee tool.. but boy it can drive you nuts and sometimes every 13 seconds is just
too close for comfort so here's how top turn it OFF! (Thanks Steve-e for saving
my sanity!)
Launch Yahoo Messenger click Login
select Preferences
under the Appearance category find Alerts
and Sounds
select A Friend Buzzes me
uncheck Shaking the Instant Message Window
uncheck Playing a Sound
hit Apply
hit OK
Peace and Quiet reigns again ;-)

Hit Fonts and Colors
Select the font, the style and the size.. hit Ok and you're done.
Note: the fonts that are available to use
in Yahoo Messenger are the ones currently installed on your own computer.. these
are as individual as what you have installed personally so when you choose a
font if you wish others to see it also they too must have the same font installed
on their computer.. if they dont then simply file transfer or email it to them
:-)
