ICQ® Versions Currently Available
ICQ comes in two flavours
for Windows users, ICQ 6 and ICQ Pro 2003b, if you want to know which version
supports what features then check out ICQ's oh so handy ICQ
Client Comparison chart (although v6 isn't included at the time of this article), it's worth it's weight in gold and takes the guess
work right out of it all for you... if, after some pondering, you're still unsure
which version to run with then stress less because ICQ lets you download and
install both versions which is oh so dang handy if you switch between the features
or you have friends that only use specific versions so if in doubt then double
up :)
As per (what seems to be) the "norm" ICQ 3.4 for Mac (see WackyB.info ~ ICQ 3.4 for more information) is sadly lacking
the features Windows users get... grumble grumble! but version 3.4 did introduce
AOL/AIM and iChat interoperability which I guess is better than a slap in the
face with... well, with a completely out of date messenger ;)
