Where do you report phishing Emails or Websites that are impersonating Yahoo! or any services provided by Yahoo!?

My friend told me I can't run Yahoo! Messenger version 8 because I have Windows 98..argh!
This isn't quite true, some of the version 8 features wont be available to you under Windows 98 but most will be.

If you want to stop Yahoo! Messenger from launching every time your computer boots...
launch and login to Yahoo! Messenger
select Preferences
in the General category
under the heading When I start up my computer
uncheck Automatically Start Yahoo! Messenger
click Apply
click OK

Want to delete your Yahoo! ID?
swing by https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_user and complete the form but before doing so please be aware that this will delete your Yahoo! ID, bookmarks, address book, Yahoo! Mail, briefaces, GeoCities account, My Yahoo etc... it will remove EVERYTHING and it's not reversible so make sure you have a full copy of your address book, bookmarks etc before you apply to have your account cancelled.

Contacts... how many of each?
You can ignore up to 100 contacts.
You can have up to 1000 contacts on your Messenger Friends list, please note that each time you add a user to your friends list or merely accept their request to add you to theirs, that their details are automatically stored in your address book, when you delete a user from your messenger list you must also delete them from your address book if you want to completely remove them. If you are running out of room on your friends list, check your Address book for dormant or unwanted contacts.

Account Locked for Security reasons?
If when logging into your account, you repeatedly enter the wrong password, then your account will locked for 12 hours. You can request a new password at http://edit.yahoo.com/config/eval_forgot_pw but wait for the 12 hours to expire before re-entering the information and up to 24 hours for the new password to take effect.

Forgot your password?
You can request a new password at http://edit.yahoo.com/config/eval_forgot_pw generally this happens instantly but it can take up to 24 hours for the new password to take effect. Note: You need to be able to answer your secret question to obtain a new password
