are really hard to track down but thanks to Jon Burrows from http://www.jonburrows.co.uk there is now a service which provides exactly that :) You can select from a small range of graphic styles to represent you GoogleTalk status and as it's a typical copy 'n' paste to your html web page there's really no excuse not to have one :) If none of the styles currently available appeal then no worries as Jon has recently added the ability to use custom graphis so you can create your own images to suit your website and personality. We now have smileys, emoticons... happy things in GoogleTalk instant messenger... but only when it's used inside Gmail... so it seems at the moment.

In general GoogleTalk IM sessions you will still get the same old same old blue text representations which don't get me wrong, is still all good.. something is better than nothing

They are subtle little characters in fact they are dead easy to miss if you're still on the coffee intake part of your day as they are simply animated text characters that represent our much loved text emoticons / smileys
