Yahoo! Messenger v800683 Sound Files Download

a bunch of ppl think somethings broken with their sound files in v8 when in fact Yahoo! changed the sounds from v800701 (released 10 August 06) onwards to "new" ones (they are actually from the Mac version) so our familiar sounds are no more... the latest ones are really quiet also which is why some ppl think they no longer have sounds.. but they do.. it's just that these ones tend to whisper ;)

You can download the previous sounds (.wav files) to replace your existing ones, installation istructions have been included with the .zip file but basically you just unzip the file, copy and paste all the .wav file included and drop them into C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Media and overwrite when prompted

NOTE: if you don't want to keep having to replace the sound files every time you upgrade Yahoo! Messenger then check out Old/New Alert Sounds Toggle
