Fake status change programs (Like this one) can be used to make your status appear to be idle, have a webcam running, listening to music etc...

Fake idle will not fool everyone if you are using one of these programs, with the mouse over your name you can see from the attached image that fake idle status have the actual status message "Idle" shown.

Real & 'Fake' Idle

The only way to produce a true fake idle is to use the utility I made 'real' fake idle.

Status Magic is a small utility for creating fake status messages, it updates the selected users custom status message list to the following:

• Plugin (puzzle piece)
• Open Talk (phone)
• Song (headphones)
• Webcam (for 'real' fake webcam get StickerCam )
• Idle

as shown here:

You will not see the fake icons in the list, but when you select each of the status your icon will change as follows:

This will overwrite your current custom messages, if you create your own custom messages again you can run Status Magic at any time to restore the special status messages.

Some status can also be marked busy which you select by clicking the busy icon next to the text box. You can edit the status text to anything you wish (Fake Idle should remain "Idle" for it to be effective)
